Half way there…. (of my new routine that is)

Hello Blog World!

How was your holiday weekend? Mine was pretty awesome! Had lots of great food, good company, did a photoshoot on Friday, edited tons of photos and today had a good workout. I didn’t go shopping on Friday since I didn’t find anything that I HAD to have. I think Black Friday is overrated these days and sooner or later you find better deals somewhere else. So unless I see an unbelievable special, I refuse to go and mingle with the grouchy people that got up at 3 am to go shopping!!

I just want to give you an update on how my growing phase is going. I’m at the half-way point of my specialization focus on shoulders and quads. I’m actually up 7 pounds!!! I don’t really count the first 3 since I know it’s water weight due to all of the extra carbs I eat these days. So let’s say that I’ve gained 4 lbs okay? That’s still actually a lot to gain in one month! I should be gaining .5 lbs a week so I’m double than my goal. Soooo, this means that I need to tighten up my eating frenzy I’ve enjoyed lately.

I must say that even though I’m up 7 lbs, I don’t feel them! I can’t tell where they’ve gone since my clothes still feel the same and I don’t look extra fluffy (yet). One of the positive side of this is that my workouts are pretty awesome these days! I’m enjoying the extra energy I have in the gym. This ROCKS!

DB Flat Bench – 45 lbs 1 set of 9, 50 lbs 2 sets of 6
BB Incline Bench – 85 lbs – 3 sets of 7
Cable Standing Fly – 10 lbs – 3 sets of 8

DB Rows – 70 lbs – 3 sets of 8! (I was doing 75 but my form wasn’t the best so I went down to 70’s today)
Seated High Row – 110 lbs 3 sets of 7
Hammer Machine Low Row – 135 lbs 3 sets of 8

Seated DB curls – 30 lbs 3 sets of 6
Preacher EZ BB – 50 lbs 3 sets of 8
Close Grip Straight Bar Cable Curl – 50 lbs 3 sets of 10
