Progress update

As I’m nearing the end of my bulk (gaining weight phase), I realize that I have made great progress building muscle! I’ve also added some fat of course but that’s not a problem since I will be dieting that off soon enough.  So far I’ve gained 11 lbs since I started bulking about 3.5 months ago. Slowly but steady is the key to gaining muscle without adding too much fat. 
During this time my focus has been to round/grow my shoulders and to add size to my quads. I train those body parts twice a week for that extra touch. Looking at this photo I see that I’ve done a few things right! I could not have done it without Paul’s guidance and his focused training but the right amount of calories consumed per day has also helped. A calorie surplus diet plus lifting weights like a mad woman = beautiful muscle!

 The goal for now is to continue eating an enormous amount of food (about 2700 calories per day) for another 3 weeks then eat at maintenance for a few weeks before I start dieting. My first show is not until July 16th so hopefully I will continue to make improvements here and there. If you see me wearing skirts & leggings only is because I have outgrown all of my jeans! lol!
