19 Weeks Out!

Woohoo! I’m finally in the “teens” now! Nineteen weeks out to my first figure competition that is . I feel so official lol! I know that’s a long time for many competitors but for me it seems like it’s just around the corner. So many things to do! I’m a type A personality so I have a huge list of things to do. Here are just a few things in my list:

  • Buy a suit
  • Bling the suit
  • Practice posing
  • Buy earrings and bracelet
  • Buy makeup
  • Practice putting stage makeup on
  • Figure out the tanning stuff
  • Get LEAN (VERY lean)
  • Practice posing some more
  • Etc, etc, etc…
I’m also very excited since today (March 1st) I start working with my nutrition Coach Erik Ledin from Lean Bodies Consulting. I’ve been following his work for TWO years now and after studying how he and other Coaches work, I feel that Erik is exactly what I was looking for. He truly knows what he’s talking about and his no nonsense approach to training delivers results in all of his clients. Check him out on Facebook!
I’ll continue doing my own training (well, my amazing boyfriend is the one that puts our training routines together) during my contest prep and I feel confident that I’ll bring a good package to the stage. I think I’ve added a lot of muscle during the past couple of years and I’m glad I waited this long to be in a figure show. My fear was always to be the tiny person on stage (since I have long limbs and small frame) or not conditioned enough. Now at least I know I won’t suck! Is that too much to ask for the first show?

Monday night’s workout:

Squats: 175lbs x10, 185×8, 195×6
Straight Leg Deadlift (SLDL) on a platform: 135lbs x8 reps x3 sets
Leg Extensions (nice and slow): 135lbs x 10 reps x 3 sets
Standing Calves: 90lbs x 15 reps x 3 sets

Standing EZ bar curls: 60 lbs x 8 x 3
Single Arm Standing Cable Curls 30 lbs x 10 x 3
Lever Preacher Curls: 45 lbs x 8 x 3

Here is a video we shot last week of my Bis

Have a great one everybody!

Amanda - Hi there, just stumbled upon your blog – look forward to reading it. I too have started using Eric Ledin. I’m into week 3 now, but am not seeing any real results as yet. Usually when I start a diet I drop the kilos quickly at first so I feel a bit frustrated at the moment. Still waiting for his comments on my first biweekly. How long have you followed his programme? cheers, AmandaReplyCancel

Ana C. - Amanda – hi there! I’m so glad you found my blog! Are you doing both the training and dieting coaching from him? I’m sure you’ll start seeing process soon. Sometimes it takes a little longer when you start doing something different. I actually just started today! lol! But I’ve active on his board for the last year and a half or so… well, I’m not that active anymore since I don’t have much time. Please keep me posted on your progress! Oh and good luck with your goals!

Kara – Hi Kara! How exciting that your first show it’s so close! Sometimes I wish I was doing one sooner since I’m getting antsy now lol! What show are you doing?

Hi Dreaming! Wow! So many new competitors! This is so cool! I don’t feel so alone anymor. What show are you doing? Keep it up too!

Have you guys been to Siouxcountry.com? That’s where I hang out sometimes. There are a few threads that are for first time competitors. I found one where they have a huge list of things to bring to the show. I may post it here later on.ReplyCancel
