12ish weeks out & update
Today I’m 12 weeks out plus 4 days from my first figure competition. I’ve been on a moderate diet (no cardio) for about a month and a half now and I have managed to lose about 9 lbs so far. I don’t think I have much more to lose before the show but I do know that I need to get a little bit leaner & tighter. As I get leaner each week, I’m realizing that I need more muscle overall specially on my shoulders. I swear that’s the most difficult body part to grow! In order for me to be competitive I need those round shoulders that pop and make a figure competitor stand out.
I’m not asking to look like a Pro since this is my first show after all and have to remember that I’m doing this for fun but at the same time I want to feel proud for the work I’ve done. I still want to do a good job!
I feel very tiny & lean these days. It’s funny how some people tell me that I look huuuge but if they only knew that most likely I weigh less than they do they would not believe me lol! I find it funny how muscle on a chick can warp people’s perception of their body
My strength has not decreased in the gym which is a BIG plus and as a matter of fact, I went up a rep on my flat bench with 45 dumbbells! Woohoo! That’s a big deal for me since benching is my weak spot! (isn’t that for most women though?)
