New Workout Routine Part 1 – 6/05/11 till show time!
This is it… the last lap before I get to the finish line. I’m 40 days away from my first show and reality is setting in. I’m getting very excited right now and can’t stop thinking about the day of the show but I’m sure the panic will set in soon and I’ll be more nervous than excited. I must say that I’m very happy how far I’ve come and how I look considering this is my first show. The goal is still to have fun during this process, enjoy every minute of it and do my best. I want to have NO REGRETS!
I’m amazed that I continue to get leaner with the amount of food I eat. My diet has only changed once during my entire contest prep but I get the feeling it’ll be changing this week again (I’m getting my feedback from my nutrition coach in the next couple of days).
Per the coaches – NONE! I still haven’t done one minute of cardio and I’m not complaining about that hehe
My trainer’s goal (aka Tall, Dark & Handsome fiancee) is to keep me lifting heavy for at least another 4 weeks and hopefully I’ll be able to keep up the weight that we’re setting this week. This is exactly what my body type needs in order to maintain the little muscle I have …. otherwise I’m afraid it’ll shrivel like a dried out plum!
Barbell Bench – 95×9, 100×7, 105×5
Dumbbell Incline – 40 lbs x 7 x 3 (the goal was to do 45 lbs but I failed miserably twice! So 40 lbs it is lol)
Barbell curls (with the standard 45 lbs bar): 60×9, 65×7, 70×5
Preacher curls 20 lbs x 10 x 3
Close grip EZ bar curls 65 lbs x 7 x 3
Dumbbell rows – 70 lbs x 7 x 3
Pullovers – 80×10, 90×8, 100×6
