Tenecia – NPC Figure Competitor

This post is a little different from what I usually post about (FOOD!) but I’m sure you won’t be disappointed with the content:)

Over 2 years ago, I first met Tenecia on Siouxcountry, a forum for women’s bodybuilders & figure competitors. Then I met her in person a few months later  when she traveled to Phoenix for a Figure competition. I was honored to photograph Tenecia at that time and since then we “clicked” if you know what I mean. How could we not? She’s such a beautiful person in and out that every time I’m around her I get this feeling of calmness and comfort that is hard to describe.

The photos from this post are from a photoshoot we did over a week ago when she competed in an NPC show. Getting in shape for a Figure competition is a lot of hard work! It consists of  working out and dieting smartly making sure you don’t lose muscle in the process but are able to get lean enough to show your hard earned muscles. It’s not an easy task if you ask me! A photoshoot is the perfect way to celebrate the hard work that was done for the past 12, 16 or more weeks!

So here is for Tenecia! A competitor with great determination, enthusiasm and love for the sport. I really enjoy working with her… can you tell?

It still amazes me that online friendships can flourish into in-person friendships. I have several friends that I have met this way and I consider myself blessed for having them in my life. It goes to show you that you can still trust people even when a relationship starts online. You have to be smart about it but do not be afraid to open your heart!

    Crystal - Ana,
This is amazing work! Not that I don’t think very highly of your model, as she is tops too, but I LOVE your angles, use of color, and scenery. WOW! is all I can say. And T, you look absolutely stunning, strong, and hot! That is exactly what I would want my shoot to produce, very tasteful.
    Thanks for sharing,
