Paul and I have been eating at Coconut’s Fish Cafe ever since they opened their Scottsdale location on April 2013.  Their original award winning store is located on Kihei, Hawaii and soon they will open two more restaurants in Dallas & Austin Texas. With their big portions, fresh and high quality ingredients, it’s no wonder Travel & Leisure named them “one of the Best Seafood Restaurants Around the World“.

Their most popular item is the Fish Tacos ($10.99). One order includes two tacos and they are BIG.  You may only be able to eat one. Paul and I share one order so we can enjoy the fresh french fries ($3.99) and an order of coconut shrimp ($8.49). Their seafood chowder ($4.99) is also outstanding! We haven’t ventured out of those options much but maybe next time I’ll try one of their salads or a fishburger.

This place is bright, vibrant and you can definitely feel the ocean vibe inside. Coconut’s Fish Cafe is a great casual Seafood restaurant option to have in North Scottsdale. A much needed one as there are none in this area.
I should also mention that their staff is very helpful and they offer great customer service.  We always see the same people working there so that’s a good sign right?

This is what we typically order. My step son was with us so we ordered two fish taco meals. He actually ate two tacos all by himself! So don’t be afraid to try it…if your appetite is big like his, then I’m sure you can handle them.

I don’t think I have ever tasted fish tacos this good. All the ingredients blend together perfectly! Try to get all the ingredients in each bite (this requires some mad skills) and it could get messy! Don’t forget to put some Tiger Sauce on the tacos! It adds a perfect kick without adding too much spice. So delish!
